NY: Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty sues to have his name removed from New York’s Sex Offender Registry

NICKI MINAJ’S husband Kenneth Petty is suing to nix his name off New York’s Sex Offender Registry and reportedly arguing that some imposter signed the documents while he was imprisoned.

Petty filed papers against the state’s Criminal Justice Services division to clear his name from the registry because he claims he wasn’t able to plea his case back in October 2004 while he was serving out a prison sentence.

The 43-year-old is hoping that he can delete his name off the humiliating and costly registry because he wasn’t afforded a chance to fight the category 2 sex offender risk level, according to TMZ.

Petty argues the “Kenny Petty” signature on documents agreeing to appear for a registry hearing is a forgery, the outlet reported citing the court papers.

The rapper’s hubby suggested he was actually behind bars so he couldn’t have been the person who purportedly signed them.

Petty is protesting how he was stripped of his due process to contest the registry risk level that he was being saddled with over nearly two decades decade ago.

I cannot help it, Darling Nikki! Purple Rain side one song 4. Damn! I miss that guy Prince…. RIP. I’m not at all surprised Minaj is married to a slave to the database. I’m certain he can ” bring it” if ya get my meaning. The congressional alterations in law opting for a tier system strips bare the erroneous assertions SCOTUS03 that the state duty to impose registration upon the already convicted was by fact of conviction itself and not on dangerousness of the individual in respect to ” strictly procedural due process ” complaint coming out of Connecticut DPS. I believe Mr.Petty is right on about the “ability to contest” issue, because without that opportunity the people are turning “Computer Blue.”

Good job, we are all in this together. When people with a name andmoney fight back and speak out it really helps. Thank you!

I was just thinking…with Mr. Petty being listed on the registry and being married to a celebrity, this is a perfect example of how registries can put innocent people in danger. Obviously his residential addresses are listed along with any homes he shares with Nikki. Do you really think she is thrilled having her home address listed for the public to see? What if some crazed individual decides to go there to harass them? I’m sure her security is tight, but if people can scale the White House fence, how much easier to get on a celebrity’s property?
I think this is a perfect example of why the registries need to go. Changing the rules so he wouldn’t have to list his addresses wouldn’t be fair for anyone else either. Registries need to be abolished.

Tim in WI, I hate to say this but I think its about due. I believe your getting your database mixed up with some freebase or some purple rain. Course I always was in to Wish it would rain and the Motown music which made a lot more since. Even Smokey Robinson and all those folks had their good, bad, and ugly. Some were even killed in plane crashes. So if all these are database affairs who is your pilot?

While we can all have theory’s or one can file a complaint or a suit we are all still in a jeopardy database or not. Hell I wouldn’t care if the database knew everything about me but remember a man isn’t suppose to cry. So who talks about sunshine, blue skys. Let the truth be known.

NY doesn’t want it to show that they gave any relief. So it’s prob gonna be a back room deal. Lawyer prob know the judge real well. wink, wink.
